the madhouse

perhaps we’ll call it a “madhouse” instead of a “carnival”

An attempt at structure, each Wednesday. Please join in, and let me know if you do… free linking, plus trading stories, and a weekly escape from coming up with a post topic on your own. You know you want to; all the cool kids are doing it.

Back for More!
After a bit-more-than-a-year’s hiatus, for many reasons and no reason at all, I have finally acknowledged just how much I enjoyed doing this, and sent out a note to see if I could dredge up any interest. Turns out, yes, people are quite willing to come play with me.

Please give me ideas for other topics, I’m open to anything!
I keep thinking about this statement, and I’m realizing that it’s true: I really cannot think of any topic that I simply would not write about. There are certainly things I won’t post on the blog, but these prompts are wide enough that I can always find another way to respond to a topic if necessary.

Responses

  1. Psychic! God what sort of topic is that. I’ll have to go funny!

  2. I’m actually about to post something vacation related!

  3. […] Kate’s blog carnival, with a dozen or so regular or irregular players, runs on Wednesdays. […]

  4. […] partner…blah blah blah, you all get the idea.  I’ve been thinking about my latest Madhouse prompt (yes, we have started back up, and I am so freaking grateful for the motivation to write […]

  5. […] 2, 2010 at 9:56 pm (Madhouse, Uncategorized) Yet another Madhouse post – I’m so glad Kate revived this, because I am so terrible at getting ideas for […]

  6. I’ll play….what do I do first? 😉

  7. Write about the topic, and then let me know where it is… if you have a blog, I’ll post a link to it… if not, you can just post a reply in the comments or – better yet, just readability-wise – send it to me as an email or FB message and I’ll copy-and-paste it into its own post on my blog, like a guest writer sort of thing.

I suppose you could also go on Facebook, and write it as a note (and tag me in it). I can direct our mutual acquaintances to it… but that’s pretty limited, lots of people won’t be able to see it.

  8. I’ve written on the Holiday Bonus topic, Kate. Thanks for the prompt!

  9. I posted my holiday bonus entry. Also, my links are all wacked out for some reason. It gives me a 404 error….

  15. I would like to join your madhouse, is it too late??? I have so many blogging questions for you Blog Masta Kate…hope you are doing well!

    • Of course it’s not too late… just let me know when you’ve posted, and I’ll add you to the list. Very soon I’ll be trolling for new topic ideas, and who knows — I might just get all crazy and actually *gasp* post, myself!

  16. Hey there! I am trying to get myself back into a regular blogging schedule, and the Madhouse is just the kind of prompt I need to keep me honest. I even did this week’s! … a bit late, but still!
