Thoughts from a Sunday morning…

Last night they started backing off Kate’s sedative, to about 95%. She is responding to touch and sound, a twitch of a finger, a flutter of an eyelid…each of these is an exciting baby step on the road to her recovery.  As Kate so often tells me when I’m struggling with something….”I think you can, I think you can…”

  1. THank you for the continued updates, Gretchen.

I feel rather helpless being so far away. Is there someplace I could contact about having a meal or food or something delivered to the family? Something I can do to help from afar? You can e-mail me at hokgardner@gmail.com.

  2. Thank goodness for small steps. They mean the world. How the heck did all this end up happening anyways? Still thinking of you guys.

  3. Gretchen, your updates are so appreciated. I know that if one of us were going through this, Kate would be among the first to step up and offer help in any way she could. And she’d definitely send Chew Gooeys. Definitely.

  4. Yay Kate!

Thank you Gretchen, the updates mean the world to those of us away. I cant wait to read that Kate was released and is at home with her family! This has all been so scary and I am so worried for my friend and her family! Hope baby I is good too!

Thank you for the updates Gretchen! You are a great friend to the family, please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help from far away.

  7. Yes another thank you to Gretchen. Little steps but steps none the less.

  8. Thanks, Gretchen! You are a wonderful friend, and these updates are invaluable to those of us in cyberland. Thoughts, prayers, and high hopes coming from way down South! Hugs to Kate – and to you!!!

  9. My thoughts and prayers continue.
