Poor Thing

Willem came home from teaching a late class this evening, and his first question to me was, “Do you really have your heart set on trying to procreate tonight?”

Poor guy. He’s getting a nasty dose of reality, in the form of Be Careful What You Wish For. “See, we think we want sex every day, but it turns out, sometimes we just want to go to sleep.”

Preaching to the choir, big guy.

  1. Oh, that’s just too funny for words.

Did you demand performance? What a lovely conception story that would make for the future wee one, “Well, your father said he was tired, but I insisted. . .”

  2. I know whatcha mean. When we were “trying”, I’d be so kind as to let Hubby leave his socks on.
It was all about procreation, not pleasure, at that point!

  3. Now that is one to keep in your back pocket, when you are tired and not interested…. you can remind him of the time he asked for a night off…

  4. It’s the opposite for me.
My Wife’s the one that’s too tired.

We’re not trying to have kids though.

  5. Ringg-a-Ding-Ding…that same song is played here and we aren’t trying. We try to “pencil time in” but gosh we both are so tired some days.
